Last Tuesday 1 st of March, Ádám Tálosi, Director and Member of the Board of the EWG Hungary terminal, met with Joan Amorós, president of FERRMED, to explain the B0 project that will allow direct trains from Feynéslitke to Austria without stopping in Budapest, which will make rail traffic more efficient in Hungary. The EWG Terminal will accommodate 24 trains/day. With 1 million TEU/year of theoretical capacity.
Most of the trains coming from Eastern Europe go to Budapest, which, with its aging infrastructure, causes bottlenecks.
The meeting discussed the opportunity for Mr. Tálosi to work with FERRMED in the testing of the +FIRRST System in Eastern Europe. We will be sending him our
proposals concerning improvement actions in terminals and interconnection links in Eastern Europe for his consideration, and he will be key to our research into road
haulers in this area.
To these ends, Mr. Amorós invited the Director and Member of the Board of the EWG Terminal to the FERRMED conference at the Sil, in order that he could make a speech.
In addition, he proposed Mr. Tálosi as vice-president of FERRMED for Eurasia.
